FAI Auto Parts has significantly expanded its braking range, reinforcing its focus on providing comprehensive coverage across key service and maintenance categories.

Originally introduced in early 2025, the braking programme was developed to sit alongside FAI’s established steering and suspension, filtration and control cable ranges. The aim was simple: to give motor factors and workshops access to a broader, more convenient single-source solution for high-frequency repairs.

While FAI has previously operated within the braking sector, the 2025 relaunch marked a clear step forward. What began as a small selection of fast-moving references has grown into a much larger, structured programme, now around twenty times the size of the original range. The focus throughout has remained on delivering strong vehicle coverage, consistent quality and competitive value.

Today, the braking range includes approximately 1,200 part numbers, with slightly more pad references than discs to reflect vehicle parc demand. Development is ongoing, with new references introduced each month based on market data and evolving UK vehicle trends, ensuring the range continues to meet the needs of workshops.

The programme currently supports vehicles from 2000 onwards and covers a significant proportion of the UK car and light commercial vehicle parc. With vehicles remaining on the road for longer, braking components continue to represent a key area of regular maintenance and repair.

Practical considerations have also played a role in product development. Brake discs are supplied with a protective coating to support easier installation and are packaged to reduce the risk of damage in transit. Brake pads feature a semi-metallic formulation designed to minimise copper dust while maintaining OE-level performance, and are vacuum-sealed so they arrive ready for immediate use.

The range extends beyond discs and pads to include calipers and wear leads, allowing customers to source all major braking components from a single supplier. Calipers are supplied as brand-new units, manufactured to OE specifications and finished with a zinc coating for added corrosion resistance, with coverage across both manual and electronic parking brake systems.

By continuing to invest in range development and maintaining a clear focus on coverage and usability, FAI’s braking programme reflects its long-term commitment to supporting the UK aftermarket in one of the most essential areas of vehicle maintenance.
